National wheat groats Poltavskaja are made from high-quality durum wheat and are a versatile, nutritious cereal product. With its fine, slightly nutty flavor, the grains are ideal for preparing hearty side dishes, soups, casseroles and more. This product contains gluten and is processed using traditional methods to ensure quality and taste.

Ingredients: Wheat groats.

Properties:

Contents: 700 g wheat groats made from first-class durum wheat.
Note for allergy sufferers: Contains gluten.
Possible uses: As a side dish with meat, fish or vegetable dishes.

Preparation recommendation:

Put 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a saucepan and heat gently.
Add 1 cup of wheat groats and fry for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Pour in 2 cups of boiling water and stir well.
Add salt and season to taste.
Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the pearl barley over a low heat for 15-20 minutes until soft.
If you wish, you can add butter to the gravy to achieve a particularly creamy result.

Storage: in a dry place at temperatures between 0°C and 25°C.
