Bulgur is made from durum wheat. The wheat grains are soaked, steamed and dried, then their skins are removed and they are crushed.
Bulgur is easy to prepare. Coarse-grained bulgur is the most popular variety, as it can be used for pilaf, salad, soup and the famous oriental snack "tabouleh".
